Deep Blue Attack

The deep blue attacked the city
Trees started to weep
Tears blurred the moonlight in the sky

The Thunder Trapped the Fish in the Ocean

Ideas!
Where are you from?
And how did you become the buddy of ego?

Ideas!
What is your source?
And will it drain one day?

Ideas!
Why can't you embrace ignorance?
Quit the game and laugh?

O ideas!
You taste like cocktails!
Are you also poisonous?

Three Destinies

An anonymous plant going to be rescued
An anonymous seedling turning to the prince of forest
An anonymous leaf dead in the ocean of neon flowers

Almost

I was watching the moon while walking
And almost fell down to the ground
I almost became Thales of Miletus

A Lost Corner

The rain has melted my bones
I am longing
For a corner to rest
Melancholy has captured me
I need a corner to hide

The dark and thick black

Countless, silent, and irrelevant people
Surrounding me
And passing by
I am an invisible, and lost
Wanderer
In the hot rainy night
I want a corner to feel safe
And rest my head on

Where is my corner
Mama I am lost
Something has gone
Something that I do not know

Dear stranger
Would you please
Give me an authentic, and deep hug?

I said a word
The abyss sucked it away
I am still invisibly lost
They are still countless, silent, and irrelevant

All you need

All you need
is a long and deep sleep
until the long lasting summer
has been painted with the tone of autumn

All you need
is a long and deep sleep
until the first song of the dawn
is bathing you in a wide and golden river

All you need
is a long and deep sleep
until the day has left you
the overwhelming melancholy is caressing your hair

All you need
is a long and deep sleep
until you forget
time has ever passed through your body

All you need
indeed
is just a long and deep sleep
that's the moment
you touch the eternity

To a friend that I briefly met

I've heard you are from the city of wind
That's how
You people come and go

Welcome to the Equator!
Please be gentle to trees,
and be careful of durians!

The eternal sun bakes the wildness
Once I merge into the divine
My memory levitates as nothingness in the air

When qawwali touches your toes
You may recall the moment
Watching the endless summer growing on the hoe

Let it penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a town of India
where almost anything can happen but nothing is predictable
Just hold your passport tight
Let the heat and crowd penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a street of Spain
where celebrations can arrive anytime
Just dance and become the rhythm itself
Let the sudden joy penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in any place of China
where you by accident turn on a television at 7pm
Just stare at the figures and text moving on the screen
Let the immortality penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a remote village of Bangladesh
where nobody speaks anything that you can understand
Just open your eyes and dive down to the essence of life
Let the primitiveness in the mud penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in the seashore in Portugal
where you may get lost and can hardly find any human being
Just follow the coastline of the vast Atlantic
Let any magical emergence behind the fog penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in the garden city of Singapore
where everything is so clean and safe
Just stretch your legs and open your arms
Let the lush and tropical rain penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a dessert in Jordan
where the wind is warm and the sand is soft
Just lie down and cover yourself by the moonlight
Let the absolute silence penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a town of Israel
where you may encounter any layer of history
Just walk towards the west until you meet the sea
Let the sunset over Mediterranean penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a sophisticated city in US
where you find only one dollar in your pocket
Go to a restaurant and breathe deep
Let the real touch of hunger penetrate through you like a flood!

If you are in a mountain on the earth
where you get trapped and cannot move a single inch
Just stay still and feel the existence of your body
Let the acceptance of life or death penetrate through you like a flood!

The lost verses

There were some beautiful verses
floating on a painting of landscape
of olive green, wheat yellow and
a strip of dark red
I was reading them aloud
in the golden afternoon sunshine of
the eternity towards the west
as of bathing
in the summer sunset of the tranquil Eurasia Steppe

I read them twice
melodic verses flew precisely through my tongue and lips
I felt like chewing words softly in the ambiguous atmosphere
while my mum came to the table
started making dumplings
"What are you doing?" she asked loudly
"Just reading."
"Em. Come to make dumplings."
"Hold down a minute..."

Then I suddenly heard the buzzing noise from the fry pan
and the cat stepped her soft paws between my legs
A real ray of sunshine pierced into my eyes
when the verses suddenly vanished from the canvas
so faded the paint
I reached out my hands
trying to grab the verses but
the verses already dropped into the abyss
like vanishing bubbles
only three words left
blured on my palms
Tree
Darkness
Obscure
The only fragments of
the enigmatic ever-existence

萎缩 Withering

79th Street

79th Street, Brooklyn, New York

Stay clear of the closing doors please

Clothes of bright colors

Stretching a curve

Outside the brick wall

If they tell you

You'll never see laundry

bathing in the sun

That is because

They've never seen the rainbow

shining in the night of United States

Good Night

I suddenly very much want to say you Good Night
Exactly like yesterday
Your soft hair between my fingers
Crescent moon hanging in tranquility

I suddenly very much want to say you Good Night
Like the light flute, a pure creek flowing through

I so much want to whisper you a warm Good Night
into your ears
But the vine twists
I really don't know how
Good Night, Good Night
My dear, Good night

Duality

I am not my cell phone number

I am not my photo

I am not the bullets in my resume

I am not my profession

I am not what they say about me

I am not my money

I am not the color of my skin my eyes my hair

I am not my ethnicity

I am not my city my country my nationality

I am not any -ism

I am not my garment

I am not my perfume

I am not my family

I am not my age

I am not my gender

I am not my mind

I am even not my body

A Fruit

She said, I would give you a fruit
I said, okay

A fruit. What is a fruit?
A fruit from a tree bathing in the Andalusia sunshine
A lush garden paved in creamy white marbles
Above which stands an 800-year-old bell tower
A yellow sand stone tower
with breath-taking staircases deep in its belly
all the way up, as a spiral spine
You breathe heavily on your way up towards the sky
Pigeons are incubating eggs on the way
When you walk by they shake heads and stretch wings
Fly away, splashing breeze and feathers to your face
Oh eggs, white little eggs of pigeons
Sleeping in the old tower above civilized burrows
Deep burrows as abyss, burying the secret of civilizations
Mystery connects
Underground Roman cisterns
The rays of modern sun dance with the ancient green ripples
Boats!
We row boats under the arches with keystones
in the cosmos of the ancient green ripples
The water town in dreams sings its moist lullaby

Now I feel thirsty for a juicy fruit

Carefree - Ganesh in Museum of Fine Art, Boston

Throw away your crystal of pride
Take off your garment of silk
We are the same drifting souls
We are the same primitive nudes
Bathing in the holy unison
                 the golden gloria
                 the eternal joy
Let's wander in the forest float in the river levitate in the cloud
We are the endless universe
The essence of universe is right here, within us

Grandma

Grandma tells me to always stay satisfied with life
However, she seems to be very hard to please
when I wanted to play out
she said it was too dangerous
when I brought my friends home
she said they were too messy
when monica visited me
she found I was too slim and got worried
when I began to feed my cat
she got angry and kept complaining
when I started to learn calligraphy
she said you should also learn drawing
when I discovered my true love in drawing
she said you should learn maths and English
when I found my interest in literature and English
she said you must learn chemistry and physics
when I got curious about science in labs
she said it's better to stay with your textbooks
when I wanted to learn architecture
she tried her best to persuade me into electronics
when I got interested in humanity and urban planning
she was shocked why I could not stay with professional architecture
when I showed her my exboyfriend
she said you were too young to have a boyfriend
when I showed her another boyfriend a year later
she asked when you planned to marry him
when I told her monica eagerly wanted a baby
she told me to stay away from her
when I told her young people always explored and wandered
she questioned how you could change so fast
when I expressed my happiness of studying abroad
she urged me to go back home and settle down
Now I tell her that I get interested in poetry
She asks why don't you draw? Drawing is better
I tell her that I am drawing now an then.
I've been in love with drawing for almost 15 years
Remember? When I was in middle school...
She falls into silence
I also tell her that I finally decide to break up with my boyfriend
even though he is the sweetest guy to me
She sighed, disappointed
at the other end of the phone
on the other side of the globe
in the sunshine that my night can never reach
Now I remember
she said the same thing to me
"Baby, do not pursue perfectionism"
But why grandma,
Why are you always worried about me?
Why are you always unhappy with my choices?
Why can't you just let it be?
Why can't you share my joy of the presence?
How can I please you?
Tell me! How can I make you happy!
Tell me! How can I love you!
She falls into silence again
She has been much more quiet these years
She always stays at home
rejects to move
Probably she is in the circle
never too far from the starting point
She has all her love and gifts
just can hardly appreciate the glory of herself
Even though she urged me to focus in school study
She always loves calligraphy and drawing so much
Even though she tried to keep me away from literature
Her bookshelves are huge and full
Even though she complained that outdoor activities were unsafe
She laughed so loud and sincere while playing with me in the park
Even though she scolded the cat all the time
She hugged and caressed it with her entire heart
Even though she arranged the miserable marriage of my parents
She also understands what true love means
Even though she appreciated the fortune of staying alive due to the rejection from the air force
She is always ashamed to have been born in the year when Japanese invaded
Even though she always avoided talking about history
She wrote her personal history with her siblings
Even though she kept denying the quality of her artworks
She eagerly wanted us to print her portfolio
Even though she said old stuff were useless
She always touches the hundred-year-old hardwood table decorated with shells
Even though she said staying abroad was nothing better than homeland
She put cash into my pocket every time I was home

Please do not forget
She was the daughter of the wealthiest family of the region
She was born in a mansion compound larger than the world heritage site
She used to feed three fat cats and two lovely dogs
She used to cultivate beautiful gardens in the courtyard
She had a childhood full of legacies, freedom and love
She gained wisdom from both western and eastern intelligence
She sang traditional operas and recited all kinds of ancient poetry
She grew up in the capital when city walls were still higher than the sky
She witnessed the entire process of wars and revolutions
She was the first dozens of girls graduated from the best university
She used to teach Russian and English
She was the first group of female scientists visiting Poland
She could have been a renowned scientist if revolutions did not happen
She could also have been a female artist if wars did not take place
She could have lived a better life if she did not love so much
She could also have been dead if she loved too much
She always dreams to study abroad
She always dreams to build a better homeland
She always dreams to preserve all the good
She always dreams to live with true love
In my vein flows her blood
Grandma and me are the same
We just wander around the starting point
at different time, different spaces, different stages of life
Time moves on
never comes back
Fate rolls up and down
never too far

Grandma is 82 years old now
Every day she feels so close to the call of destiny
She is peaceful and ready
there she will meet her parents and family
In her life she has always been extremely careful to stay appropriate
through these ridiculous decades of contemporary history
of the country, where one can vanish silently, at any minute
She is an extraordinary woman in her era
and also an anonymous dust in the billion
She devoted all her life to this party, to the so-called belief
as well as her family, in the way she finds correct
She has always been the queen of my family
A queen with glory of the past
A queen with lost memory
A queen with noble spirit
A queen with melancholy

I love you so much
My dearest grandma
You gave me life
You lead my fate
You raised me up

You love me deep

Ananda

Ananda - 1

She is a migrant bird
flying over the Himalaya
A tiny blue feather of hers
falls slowly, slowly,
and softly rests,
onto his warm palm
He looks up, into the sky
the moment, right there
in his eyes
She sees a vast deep lake

Ananda - 2

Cocoon, cocoon,
She squeezes out
streches her fresh wet wings,
dark blue blood injected into capillaries
That night
The crescent moon hangs lower than the roof
The green river rises higher than the willow
